Contract Length: 12 months
Day Rate: Up to £600-700/day

About the Role:
We are seeking a seasoned Lead Data Science & AI Specialist to establish and oversee a new data science and machine learning function within our organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to shape our data strategy and scale innovative AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of a data science function, focusing on predictive analytics and machine learning.
• Review and optimise existing processes and deliverables for maximum efficiency.
• Validate the use of prompt engineering and explore cost-effective alternatives.
• Scale machine learning models across different business areas.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align AI initiatives with business objectives.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in data science, machine learning, and AI implementation.
• Proven leadership in setting up or managing data/AI teams.
• Strong expertise in predictive analytics, document data, and model scalability.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and machine learning frameworks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
