Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience with Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • 3-5 years of experience with Microsoft T-SQL
  • Client facing experience
  • Strong aptitude to learn and grow
  • Prior experience with 3rd party interfacing
  • Strong experience with relational database concepts
  • Requires analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all tasks and deliverables
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle
  • Previous experience in commercial real estate financing preferred
  • Previous experience with Microsoft report tools (SSRS, Power BI) is a plus
  • BS/BA in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve ETL issues, such as failed job executions or data transformation errors in SSIS packages, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Create comprehensive documentation for recurring issues and their resolutions to build and maintain a robust knowledge base for the team.
  • Engage with clients and internal team members through ticketing systems, emails, and calls, ensuring technical concepts are clearly conveyed to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Investigate and resolve data discrepancies in ETL pipelines by performing root cause analysis and proposing effective solutions.
  • Identify and escalate issues beyond personal expertise to the appropriate Data Engineer or Senior Data Engineer, providing a clear summary of the investigation and findings.
  • Manage and prioritize incoming support tickets, ensuring efficient ticket handling, timely resolutions, and regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Dive deeper into ETL requests and client support issues to align technical solutions with business needs, investigating both the symptoms and underlying causes of data issues.
  • Tackle challenges in undefined or evolving situations, such as supporting new ETL pipelines with incomplete documentation. Ensure knowledge gaps are addressed by creating or updating Wiki documentation and knowledge bases.
  • Actively follow up on unresolved issues, ensuring clients feel supported and their concerns are addressed promptly and effectively.
  • Proactively monitor ETL jobs and logs to identify and resolve potential failures before they impact clients, minimizing downtime and service interruptions.
  • Provide technical assistance and cross training to other team members.
  • Must be able to perform duties with moderate to low supervision.
