Data Management Manager

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a seasoned Data Management Manager who can drive initiatives with a strong stakeholder management. The incumbent needs to build, operationalize a strong team supporting Data Analysis, Data Quality and Data Profiling; and deliver business outcomes.

In this role, you will:

• Provide leadership in developing and ensuring adherence to a data quality framework
• Recommend strategies to prioritize and remediate data quality issues that align with business needs or regulatory compliance initiatives
• Collaborate with business partners to achieve consistent agreement and application of definitions, measurements and interpretation
• Serve as liaison to leadership to ensure data strategy is aligned with business strategy
• Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with business objectives
• Provide leadership in establishing data and metadata quality goals
• Identify and recommend opportunities for the development of audits and controls structured around business processes and data quality target state and metadata standards
• Manage the development of audits and controls; structured around business processes
• Develop and maintain a roadmap for line of business data quality and define measurement standards
• Manage the research, insights, and data quality strategies for a functional area with impact across business lines with some companywide impact
• Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
• Lead a team of individuals and work in an agile mode with a global team spread across geographies
• Direct team in developing solutions, tools and processes used to maintain a common companywide data quality, control standards and data sourcing
• Serve as single point of contact for escalations on low to moderate complexity issues
• Manage allocation of people and financial resources
• Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent
• Location: Bangalore; Work Timing: 1:30pm to 10:30pm IST

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with 14+ Industry experience in similar roles. Post-graduation degree preferred.
• Hands on experience on tools like SQL, Qualitycs, Abinitio Express IT, IDQ, Power BI, Python, and other similar tools
• Hands on experience in relational databases Teradata, Oracle, or similar databases
• Proven experience in ETL, Data Quality and Data Profiling
• Knowledge and understanding of big data (Hadoop) environment
• Knowledge and understanding of Data Quality controls implementation, Critical Data Element DQ checks, DQ issues/anomalies remediation, ERD, Dimensional Models and Metadata
• 5+ years of proven team management role in terms on talent lifecycle management and Project Management
• Identifies and recommends internal and external data sources, compiles/mines data from multiple, cross business sources; recommends and consults in the development of complex analysis designs
• Ensures adherence to data management/data governance regulations and policies. Data involved may be very large, structured/ unstructured, and collated from multiple sources.
• Experience in Data Management, Business Research, Analytics, Project Management, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• Leadership experience
