Responsibilities

Introduction:

Are you ready to apply your knowledge and curiosity in an exciting, hands-on learning environment? Join our team as a Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Intern and work in a cutting-edge lab equipped with advanced processors, data analysis tools, and Radio Frequency (RF) sensors, including antennas mounted on our rooftop. You’ll have the opportunity to process real-world data, develop and test DSP algorithms, and work closely with experienced engineers who are passionate about mentoring the next generation of innovators.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and testing DSP algorithms for signal analysis, filtering, and feature extraction.

• Process and analyze RF data collected from our rooftop antennas using industry-standard tools.

• Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot and optimize DSP systems.

• Use programming languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB, or C++) to implement and simulate signal processing workflows.

• Support the integration of hardware and software components in DSP systems.

Required Qualifications

Required Skills and Qualifications:

 

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
  • 3.3 GPA
  • Completed coursework in signals and systems, linear algebra, or introductory DSP concepts.
  • Basic understanding of data analysis and visualization techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a US government clearance
  • Physical requirements (ability to lift 20Ibs)

Desired Qualifications

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Familiarity with RF systems and concepts such as modulation, demodulation, and spectral analysis.

• Hands-on experience with lab equipment like oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, or software-defined radios (SDRs).

• Familiarity with programming in Python, MATLAB, or C++.

• Knowledge of embedded systems or software development.

• Knowledge of 5G / 6G cellular signals and/or Internet of Things (IOT) technologies.

• Prior experience with machine learning applied to signal processing (optional but a plus).

• Enthusiasm for experimenting, learning, and applying engineering concepts to solve real-world challenges.

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.

Posted Salary Range

USD $23.00 - USD $38.00 /Hr.
