Department Overview
Enterprise Channel & Sales Operations focuses on developing and implementing an impactful and effective partner experience including program, tools and processes conducted when doing business with Motorola Solutions. As a result, this enables sales to achieve their short and long-term objectives. These relate to channel sales revenues, profit and market penetration.
Job Description
The Sales Operations Data Analyst will be responsible for developing reports, visualizations and dashboards to provide visibility into sales forecast, performance, and identify opportunities for process improvements. They will help in analyzing our End User and Vertical data for both orders and revenue to help ensure proper forecasting and payment of the sales team. Portions of this role will be global in nature and may require meetings outside of typical business hours. The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Review and optimize the use of Salesforce to ensure data quality and accessibility for the sales team.
Work closely with order and revenue data to help improve the overall data integrity of our end users and verticals that will drive better forecasting and accurate sales payment.
Build and maintain dashboards that provide real-time insights into sales performance for use by sales managers and team members.
Develop regular reports for the sales team that track sales metrics, KPIs, and team performance.
Use statistical techniques to analyze sales data and generate insights that can help drive sales strategies.
Use predictive modeling to forecast future sales trends and help the sales team set realistic targets.
Identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies in the sales process and suggest improvements based on data-driven insights.
Work closely with the sales team to understand their needs and how data can help them achieve their goals.
Analyze market trends and customer data to identify new sales opportunities or areas for expansion.
Competitive analysis for wins and losses including pricing, market share, and growth/decline of product portfolios or targeted verticals
Additional skills
New grad with a Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics or Operations
Preferred experience with data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, or similar.
Preferred experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI is beneficial.
Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets at advanced level as well as fluency in Google (Gmail, Google Drive, etc.)
Preferred familiarity with Salesforce CRM – report and dashboard creation, knowledge of sales cycle and territory management.
Preferred experience in Order and Revenue Forecasting models Understanding of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheet PIVOT tables and basic functionality
Ability to interpret complex data and turn it into actionable insights as well as identify problems and use data to propose viable solutions.
Desire to foster collaborative and effective working relationships to drive change and build consensus with cross-functional teams in the US and internationally
Analytical and judgment skills necessary to identify cause-and-effect relationships and present recommendations and be able to present complex data in simple understandable format
Effective time management, project management, and organizational skills with the ability to work with tight deadlines and changing priorities
Self-motivated and able to operate with limited direction in a fast-paced project-driven environment
Experience with Slack a plus
Target Base Salary Range: $46,800 - $86,600
Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
Basic Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Business Analytics or Operations
