The automotive markets Holman serves include fleet management and leasing; vehicle fabrication and upfitting; component manufacturing and productivity solutions; powertrain distribution and logistics services; commercial and personal insurance and risk management; and retail automotive sales as one of the largest privately owned dealership groups in the United States.

What will you do?

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of the company’s BI architecture and strategy.
  • Create and maintain a technical roadmap for business intelligence solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and data needs.
  • Define and implement best practices for BI development and reporting to ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Lead the creation of robust and optimized data models and semantic layers that allow businesses users to access, explore, and analyze data effectively via their tool of choice.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across reports and dashboards by defining clear data definitions and reporting standards.
  • Ensure the Power BI environment is optimized for performance, including query performance, report rendering, and dashboard responsiveness.
  • Guide the use of advanced Power BI features such as DAX, custom visuals, and Power Query to deliver high-impact analytical solutions.
  • Work closely with the data engineering team to ensure data is structured and loaded correctly for BI consumption.

What are we looking for?

  • Strong experience with data analytics architecture, report development, and data modeling.
  • Proficiency in designing data models and semantic layers for business intelligence.
  • Deep understanding of Azure services – Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, Azure Databricks etc.
  • 5+ years’ experience creating data warehousing architecture
  • Experience with ETL and data integration processes, even though data loading is handled by the engineering team.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience in data querying and optimization.
  • Knowledge of data governance, security protocols, and compliance standards.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, business intelligence, Information systems, data science or equivalent work experience
  • Additional education, certifications in Microsoft Azure Data Platform, Microsoft Fabric/ Power BI, Power Platform is a plus.
  • Knowledge of other BI tools or cloud technologies is an advantage.
  • Lead the implementation, optimization and enhancement of the overall BI technology stack, including tools, processes, and frameworks, leveraging Microsoft Cloud services (Azure, etc.).
  • Translate business needs into a cohesive BI strategy and implementation roadmap.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the BI and analytical engineering team.
  • Guide team members in technical decision-making and encourage continuous learning and growth within the team.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to support BI efforts, including data visualization, reporting, and analytics.
  • Ensure that the BI platform supports scalability and reliability as the business grows and data volume increases.
  • Ensure data governance and security practices are followed within the BI environment.

Pay:

We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $81,210.00 - $117,760.00 USD annually for full time employees. The annual compensation range is comprised of base pay earnings.
