Hourly base pay rate is $23.65 - $35.48/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Data Science Co-op

Data helps us see things clearly when making important decisions. And that’s where you can make an impact this [summer/fall/spring].

We’re looking for a Data Science/Analytics Intern to help shape our business practices from within. Do you love problem-solving and using data to see a bigger picture? If so, we may have just the spot for you!

What You’ll Do

You’ll get a chance to learn and master new technologies and techniques while working with a team of thinkers and doers. Here’s more on what you’ll be doing:

· Working under the direction of the senior data science staff.

· Acting as subject-matter expert on applying mathematical models across the company.

· Working closely with product, engineering and business stakeholders.

· Executing analytics tasks, such as data preparation, data analysis, descriptive statistics and linear regression.

· Preparing and analyzing data and basic modeling.

· Presenting findings to peers and data science leadership.

Who You Are

You’re a strong problem-solver with an understanding of applying descriptive, predictive and prescriptive statistics to real-world problems. You also:

· Are a rising senior or graduate student majoring in statistics, operations research, applied mathematics, computer science, economics or related quantitative field.

· Have a working knowledge of a general-purpose programming language.

· Can present findings clearly and concisely to team members and data science leadership.

· Preferably have an understanding of statistics, optimization or machine learning.

· Are currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.
