As a Data Analyst Intern at Group 1001, you will contribute to transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making and business success. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze complex datasets, identify trends, and provide data-driven recommendations. You will gain valuable skill in data analysis, visualization, and reporting in support of our data-driven initiatives and enhancement of our operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis and Interpretation - understand business user processes and design data solutions in partnership with engineering
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Reporting and Visualization - Create clear and concise data visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports that provide actionable recommendations based on data analysis.
  • Present data insights to business leaders and stakeholders to support decision-making.
  • Data Quality and Management - Ensure data accuracy and integrity by performing data validation and cleansing.
  • Work with data engineering teams to improve data collection and storage processes.
  • Maintain documentation of data sources, methodologies, and analysis processes.
  • Collaboration and Support -Collaborate with business units to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate students completing their sophomore or junior year preferred pursuing IT, Computer Science, Data Analytics Majors.
  • Availability to work full-time hours over the summer.
  • Go-getter, self-sufficient, and willing to drive engagements from idea to solution execution
  • Deep critical thinking skills and curiosity to pursue open-ended problems via data
  • Knowledge of SQL: working with relational databases, writing and debugging queries
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes is a plus.
  • Ability to provide direct client contact and presentation of technical findings to non-technical audience.
