Senior Software Development Engineer

About the Role:

As a engineer on the Self-Service Experience team you will build new features within Remitly app that help customers resolve common issues. You will contribute to Remitly's virtual assistant as well as help center within the app. You will report directly to the Engineering Manager, based in Seattle.

You Will:

• Build backend services in Go on AWS
• Develop ML-driven components into customer-facing experiences
• Deliver end to end complex projects and product features, with high autonomy and quality
• Partner with product managers and engineers across teams to help achieve product and business goals

You Have:

• 5 or more years of experience developing applications - preferably using Go or Python.
• Experience with natural language search and search optimization
• Experience building models to process unstructured and semi-structured text data using natural language processing techniques
• Knowledge of software development principles, including version control, testing, and debugging.
• Experience integrating ML-driven components into customer facing products

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $180,000-$225,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
