As a Health AI & Data Manager in the AI & Data service line at EY, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our public and private health clients with design and execution of high-impact projects. You will work directly with clients (clinical and technical) to understand their business needs, design and implement advanced health data analytics models, and develop AI solutions that drive measurable value. Your responsibilities will include managing project teams, mentoring junior consultants, and ensuring the successful delivery of complex initiatives and maintaining relationships with EY’s clients. Additionally, you will stay abreast of the latest advancements in health, AI and data science, contributing to the continuous enhancement of our service offerings and market direction. Your expertise and leadership will be instrumental in helping clients navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of AI and data, ultimately enabling them to achieve their strategic goals.
Ō Pūmanawa I What we’re looking for
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Health AI & Data Manager to join our AI & Data team at EY New Zealand. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Public Health sector data science, artificial intelligence, and advanced analytics, with a proven track record of delivering innovative solutions to complex business problems in a consulting environment. As a Health AI & Data Manager, you will play a key role in leading projects, engaging with clients and mentoring junior team members, and driving the development and implementation of cutting-edge AI and data strategies for our Health sector clients.
Here’s our ‘wish list’ but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your strengths, what you want to learn, and how far you want to go.
- Track record of leading epidemiological analysis or business analysis or data visualisation projects or both
- Extensive experience of New Zealand health data and/or systems, with a minimum of 6 years relevant experience with health providers and/or professional services, and at least 3 years of leading data teams
- Manage delivery of AI and Data projects from inception to completion, consistently ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and develop tailored AI and data solutions that drive value and achieve strategic objectives.
- Design, and manage development and implementation advanced analytics models, machine learning algorithms, and AI solutions to solve complex business problems
- Experience using Snowflake, SQL and R preferred
- Mentor and guide junior team members, providing technical expertise and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Hold a degree in one of or a similar field; Data Science, Computer Science, Public Health or Statistics.
