Graduate Risk Engineering Data Analyst

Note: This role is only open to applicants who are UAE nationals (with family book)

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Risk Engineering Data Analyst to join our MEA Risk Engineering Data Analytics team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the MEA Energy and Power Risk Engineering teams by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data using various tools, including Microsoft Excel and in-house software. Engineering knowledge will be highly beneficial when it comes to data interpretation and providing actionable insights to support risk assessments.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a dynamic team and gain exposure to a wide range of projects, including engaging with major clients in the region and globally. The role offers on-the-job training and mentorship, including shadowing experienced risk engineers during surveys, allowing you to gain hands-on experience in the field of risk engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Collection & Analysis:
    • Collect and organize data from various sources, including risk engineering surveys and internal databases.
    • Analyze and interpret data using Microsoft Excel and in-house tools, ensuring accuracy and actionable insights.
  • Collaboration with Risk Engineers:
    • Work closely with the MEA Energy and Power Risk Engineering teams to support risk assessments, insurance submissions and client presentations.
    • Provide data-driven insights to assist in identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Client Engagement:
    • Interact with clients, including major regional and global clients.
    • Participate in client meetings and assist in preparing presentations and reports.
  • Training & Development:
    • Shadow experienced risk engineers during field surveys to gain hands-on exposure to the practical aspects of risk engineering.
    • Participate in ongoing training to develop expertise in risk engineering and data analysis.
  • Tools & Software:
    • Utilize the Microsoft Suite of tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) to organize data, create reports, and present findings.
    • Leverage advanced data tools, if applicable, to improve efficiency and depth of analysis.
  • Organization & Multi-tasking:
    • Manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Maintain organized records and reports of all data and analyses.

What you need to have:

  • A recent graduate with a degree in Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Some knowledge of risk engineering concepts is an advantage.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
  • Any experience with advanced data tools can be beneficial.
  • Ability to interpret technical data and apply engineering knowledge to analyze risk factors.
  • Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail.
