Student Assistant- Digital Outreach & Alumni Data Analysis

The ASU Outreach Hub is a nonprofit organization that supports the outreach and transactional needs of the ASU public enterprise through marketing and engagement solutions that advance the university and strengthen its brand. It specializes in paid media outreach, data-driven insights and outreach to alumni, donors and targeted corporations.   

The Digital Outreach & Alumni Data Analysis Student Worker will assist with alumni engagement initiatives, focusing specifically on connecting with international alumni, particularly from India. This position involves managing alumni data, analyzing engagement trends, and helping develop digital outreach campaigns tailored to this audience. The role offers valuable hands-on experience in data analysis, digital communication, and global alumni relations, with a special emphasis on strengthening ties with international alumni through targeted digital strategies.

The position will require approximately 10-20 hours per week, with additional availability during the non-school year

What You'll Do:

• Maintain and update accurate alumni contact records, with a focus on international alumni, particularly those from India
• Perform data clean-up and segmentation to ensure alumni data is organized for targeted outreach
• Analyze engagement trends and preferences among international alumni to optimize outreach strategies
• Assist in compiling and analyzing data from digital outreach campaigns, particularly those targeting Indian alumni, to identify engagement patterns and insights
• Conduct research on the professional and cultural interests of international alumni to tailor outreach strategies
• Help track and report on campaign performance, offering recommendations to improve engagement with international alumni
• Monitor alumni interactions, track engagement, and assist with measuring the success of campaigns across digital platforms
• Develop content that resonates with the unique interests and needs of international alumni, with a focus on strengthening global alumni relations
• Prepare reports summarizing the outcomes of alumni outreach activities, with a focus on international engagement metrics
• Assist with other digital communication and administrative tasks as needed

What You'll Need:

• Strong interest or background in digital marketing, data analysis, and alumni relations, with an emphasis on international audiences.
• Experience with email marketing platforms, social media management, and/or data analytics tools.
• Familiarity with data management, including cleaning, segmentation, and analysis.
• Understanding of the unique cultural and professional interests of Indian alumni and other international alumni groups.
• Strong communication skills, both written and digital, with the ability to create engaging content that resonates with a global audience.
• Interest in community engagement, higher education, or nonprofit communications, with a focus on international outreach.

Relevant qualifications:

• A current undergraduate or graduate student at Arizona State University
• Must be willing to sign by a confidentiality agreement

Preferred education and experience:

• An Arizona State University undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree from Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering from the MS Data Science, Analytics, and Engineering (Sustainable Engineering and Built Environment) program or related field

Preferred skills and abilities:

• Technical proficiency in data analytics platforms and content creation
