Job Description

Internship: Sustainability Data Integration Intern

Amcor’s Corporate Sustainability Team – based in the Amcor Rigid Packaging head office in Ann Arbor – is seeking an intern to commence in May 2025. This role will support the integration of environmental data into a single system following Amcor’s merger with Berry Global. The selected student will gain exposure to challenging project-based work experience, the opportunity to learn about Amcor’s global packaging business and the broader packaging industry, and real-world experience working to improve data collection and management processes in a large, global corporation. This role will report to Amcor’s Corporate Sustainability Team and have significant exposure to our business and leadership teams around the world.

Internship Assignments:

  • Reviewing Berry and Amcor environmental data to determine and compare sources, definitions, methodologies, etc
  • Supporting combination of data between Berry and Amcor systems
  • Evaluate data for opportunities to improve accuracy
  • Assist with setting KPIs and Targets for the newly combined business entities. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Candidates must be pursuing a graduate degree, preferably in environment, sustainability, business, and/or data science
  • Experience managing and analyzing large, complex sets of data
  • Expert-level understanding of Microsoft Excel
  • Passionate about environmental sustainability
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-motivated/ability to work independently
  • A continuous improvement and innovative mindset
  • Initiative to meet project milestones and deadlines
