Position Overview:

Freddie Mac's Investments & Capital Markets (I&CM) Aladdin-Atlas Operations team focuses on supporting various trading desks, vendors and the flow of trade and economic data to the master database, ATLAS.  Responsibilities include:

  • Focus on supporting the various downstream users of ATLAS data by running reconciliations and a series of data check queries across many fixed income products. 

  • Support many business partners at Freddie Mac including ad-hoc requests and project initiatives related to trading data and system support.

  • Manage trading rules, permissions and new portfolio setups within the BlackRock ALADDIN trading system.  This includes trader limit thresholds and the associated system logic.

Our Impact:

The Aladdin-Atlas Operations Team supports daily trading activity and the flow of trade and economic data to downstream business partners by ensuring business rules and system logic are accurately implemented and maintained. The Team also manages vendor relationships and trading system access. They work closely with trading desks, vendors, finance, risk & controls and business technology to support daily processing, reporting and new initiatives.

Your Impact:

In this role, you will be an integral part of the Aladdin-Atlas Operations Team and will be expected to:

  • Collaborate with a variety of business partners including:

    • Suppliers and vendors to ensure business as usual runs efficiently and to assist with initiatives that introduce new elements or changes to trade related data.

    • Trading desks to support appropriate access requirements and new products.

    • Downstream users such as accounting and finance team to troubleshoot issues.

    • Change management teams to implement new initiatives.

    • Internal audit

    • Business technology groups for new regulations or system changes

  • Improve our efficiency by working to modernize current processes.

  • Manage operational risk by consistently following procedures and asking questions when there is ambiguity.

  • Complete daily baseline work in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Develop resolutions to complex problems that require the frequent use of resourcefulness and creativity.

  • Exert latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment.

  • Serve as the team spokesperson on specialized projects or programs.

Qualifications:

  • College Degree or equivalent preferred

  • Typically has 8-10 or more years related experience

  • Knowledge of database management and SQL creation

  • Experience with trading systems Knowledge of fixed income investments and capital markets.

  • Strong communications, leadership, collaboration, presentation, and facilitation skills

  • Experience with data analysis and visualization.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain partner relationships at all levels.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $119,000 - $179,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
