Reports To: Customer Care Operations Director
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Leader to oversee our Customer Master Data Operations Team. The successful Candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely processing of customer master data, while leading a Team of Data Specialists to achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities of the role:
Leadership & Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and develop a Team of 10 Customer Master Data Specialists.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance Team culture.
Conduct regular Team meetings and performance reviews.
Recruitment and training of new Team Members.
Motivation and recognition of Team Members.
Role model for behaviours and Company values.
Represent Team with internal and external Customers.
Data Management:
Oversee the processing and maintenance of customer master data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Company standards.
Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the Team’s processes and act as the technical expert of the Team, a ‘’go-to’’ person.
Implement and monitor data quality metrics and KPIs.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve data-related issues.
Ensure compliance with ISO certification and SOX requirements.
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance data accuracy and operational efficiency.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data processing activities.
Stay updated with industry best practices and integrate them into the Team’s workflow.
Proactively seek for efficiency from workload perspective to ensure productivity and an adequate workload allocation among the Team Members.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Act as the primary point of contact for customer master data inquiries from internal and external Stakeholders.
Collaborate with IT, Sales, Finance, and other departments to ensure seamless data integration and usage.
Provide training and support to Stakeholders on data management processes.
Reporting & Analysis:
Generate regular reports on data quality, Team performance, and operational metrics.
Analyse data trends and provide insights to support business decisions.
Present findings and recommendations to Senior Management.
Required qualifications & skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Management, or a related field.
Extensive leadership skills (min. 5 years’ experience in people management), including leadership in customer master data area.
Strong understanding of customer master data processes and best practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in data management tools and software (e.g., SAP, SFDC, Microsoft Excel).
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
