Department Overview

Group Quality Department is directly lead by Group Executive Vice President, COO, and is working on improvement of Group Service Quality, to accelerate the growth of Rakuten Group businesses.

We are not only supporting decision making process of managements, but also executing measures for problem solving.

We are facing various problems under the circumstance of expanding Rakuten Ecosystem, and the rapid evolution of internet industry.

We have a lot of opportunities to contribute to the group and the society. Group Quality Department is focusing on the quality improvement.

We aim to guarantee the quality that all our customers can use Rakuten's services with confidence.

For this reason, we need to manage a wide range of people within the company, we plan and operate conference in which the vice chairman and vice president participate, as well as promote quality activities that work together with the workplace.

This recruitment is being conducted in light of these circumstances, as we seek individuals who can support business growth and contribute to improving customer experience through data analysis.

Position Details

1. Survey Design and Analysis 

- Design, implementation, and analysis of surveys related to Ecosystem NPS (Net Promoter Score) and dissatisfaction rate. 

- Identification of issues and proposal of improvements based on survey results. 

2. Data Analysis 

- Integration and analysis of diverse data, including survey data, business metrics, purchasing data, and tracking data, to derive deep insights. 

- Analysis of customer behavior patterns and development of predictive models using data. 

3. Business Goal Setting 

- Support the setting of business goals and the formulation of KPIs based on data analysis results. 

- Preparation of reports and proposals for management and related departments. 

4. Statistical Analysis 

- Data analysis using statistical methods such as multivariate analysis and regression analysis. 

- Decision-making support based on analysis results. 

5. Utilization of Technical Skills 

- Data extraction and database operations using SQL. 

- Data processing, analysis, and visualization using Python. 

Work Environment

Small but elite team (Currently: 3 members)

Mandatory Qualifications:

- Experience in designing, conducting, and analyzing surveys.

- Experience in analyzing survey data combined with other data sources (e.g., business metrics, purchasing data, tracking data).

- Experience in setting business goals and formulating KPIs based on data.

- Knowledge and practical experience with statistical methods such as multivariate analysis and regression analysis.

- Skills in data extraction and manipulation using SQL.

- Skills in data analysis and visualization using Python.

- A proactive attitude toward learning new technologies and methods and applying them to work.

Desired Qualifications:

Preferred Skills and Experience

- Experience in data visualization using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, DOMO). 

- Experience in data analysis utilizing machine learning or AI. 

- Experience handling large-scale data (e.g., big data analysis). 

- Strong communication skills for interacting with executives and other departments.
