AI as a Service mission statement: Develop and nurture innovative, efficient, fully digitalized, and high-quality use cases by becoming a use case driven powerhouse. This team develops product capabilities adopting Machine Learning methods grounded on proven Data Science domain concepts and techniques. It nurtures and boosts excellence in Data Science and Data Engineering disciplines that will be considered state of the art of competences applied to Telco Networks Domain. This organization is designed to be a critical step to future mode of operations where many of our offerings will be use case driven. It includes the domains covering Centralized Operations, Infrastructure, Network and Customer centric use cases.
If you join us, you will have the opportunity to apply your programming and data science skills, your deep knowledge and experience in data analysis and in developing new applications grounded on machine learning that will be deployed globally to our Nokia customers.
To succeed, the Data Scientist / ML Engineer, using his/her competences and technical knowledge, must be driven to get the things done by being able to motivate and lead technical contributors across different organizations and business units.
Job Responsibilities & Competencies
- Using data science to demystify big data and unlock new business potentials from complex data sources.
- Performing research, implementation and testing on new algorithms and applications.
- Interpretation and analysis of data using statistical techniques, visualization, and predictive analytics.
- Development and implementation data processing applications, data analysis, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
- Identification, analysis, and interpretation of trends or patterns in the data.
- Analyzing internal and external business challenges to recommend best practices to improve products, processes and services.
- Implementing strategic decisions within professional area.
- Solving complex problems based on sophisticated analytical thought and complex judgment.
- Retaining technical and design knowledge for assigned products and technologies.
- Applying and maintaining high quality standards.
- Participating in process and tools development and evolution.
Generic Qualifications:
- Technology, engineering or related University Degree or student (PhD or MSc)
- Technical knowledge and expertise in several of the following areas: machine learning, data analysis and statistics, data visualization, software development, cloud computing.
- Knowledge and experience in software development, architecture, design and related processes and tools.
- Self- driven and creative
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Challenge seeking and analytical
Specific qualifications:
- Good knowledge in the Data Science domain:
- Machine Learning algorithms, Statistics and Data Analysis
- Analytics and AI tooling, e.g. Jupyter, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, PySpark, Keras
- Programming languages: Python, SQL, JavaScrip
- Data Visualization and BI tooling, e.g. Matplotlib, D3.js, Tableau, MS Power BI
- Knowledge of IT concepts associated with the deployment of modern networks:
- BigData and distributed processing (Kafka, Spark)
- Cloud native software concepts (micro-services architecture)
- Knowledge of IT concepts associated with the software development tools:
- Git and CI/CD pipelines
- Software analysis and design methodologies
- Knowledge of the following subjects is valued:
- Docker and Kubernetes
- Programming languages: Java, C++, R, Scala
- Software quality and security enforcement
