As an experienced professional with over four years in a similar role, you will work closely with our team of thermal engineers to develop innovative, data-driven solutions that enhance our clean tech initiatives. Your expertise will be pivotal in optimizing our heat pump algorithms, ensuring they are efficient, effective, and seamlessly integrated into our IoT framework.

If you enjoy this

• Taking technical ownership of our heat pump optimization algorithms.
• Analyzing time-series data from thousands of heat pump installations.
• Collaborating with thermal engineers to quantitatively model the energy systems of residential homes.
• Conceptualizing, building, and testing different optimization algorithms to save heating energy.
• Developing testing criteria and a framework for backtesting new algorithms.
• Building productive real-world optimization algorithms to execute via our IoT framework.

And recognise yourself here

• A background in STEM (Mathematics, Computer Science, Natural Sciences, Technology) is preferred, but not required, as diverse educational experiences are highly valued.
• At least 4 years of experience in machine learning and solving general optimization problems, demonstrating expertise in this area.
• Proficiency in analyzing and forecasting time series data is a notable strength.
• Strong data analysis skills and the ability to communicate results effectively to the business, enabling the presentation of complex insights.
• Experience with the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) enhances the ability to manage and deploy data solutions.
• Basic skills in data engineering and data integration complement the technical expertise.
• Proficiency in Python, Looker, and Airflow tools is essential for success in this role.
