We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to manage donor databases and related software within our organization. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate data entry, access management, and training for employees and volunteers. Key duties include generating donor and fundraising reports, pulling contact lists for communications, reconciling donation and event revenue in collaboration with Finance, and managing the Resource Development software budget. The Data Analyst also supports fundraising events, departmental projects, and provides coverage for the Donor Relations Officer as needed.
This is a 37.5-hour-per-week position, typically Monday to Friday, with eligibility for hybrid work. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required.
WHAT YOU'LL DO

Perform data entry tasks, including creating and updating constituent records.

Manage integrations between software systems.

Review, merge, and address duplicate data.

Maintain and update data table entries and attributes.

Regularly review access levels and permissions, including managing database access for new and departing employees.

Act as the main contact for software providers.

Stay informed about software updates and features, manage contracts, and explore alternatives.

Create and update donation forms.

Train new and existing staff on relevant software.

Generate and present monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reports.

Pull, clean, and provide data for various communications (e.g., direct response campaigns, emails).

Analyze direct response results to guide future campaigns.

Assist with fundraising inquiries, process donations and tax receipts, update the gift coding system, and provide team training as needed.

Advise on, administer, and secure event software. Train staff and volunteers on its use, manage software provider relationships and integrations, and assist with event-related tasks.

Stay current with health, safety, and wellness policies, promptly report hazards and incidents, and promote a safe and psychologically healthy workplace.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- College or University degree
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Data Administration and/or Data Analysis is required
- Experience with relational databases and/or CRMs is preferred. Specific experience with Raisers Edge NXT (including Blackbaud certifications), BBMS, Jotform, Givergy, and RaffleNexus is beneficial
- Strong computer proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required
- Innate curiosity with a desire to find creative solutions to challenges
