About Your New Role:

We are looking for a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to join our growing team. As the founding member of our Machine Learning Platform Engineering team, you will play a key role in applying advanced machine learning techniques to improve Command|Link's product offerings, including network optimization, risk management, data analytics, and security solutions.

What You’ll Do:

• Innovate with state-of-the-art machine learning technology to accelerate product development and improve the customer experience across multiple domains (e.g., network optimization, security, risk management).
• Develop and deploy machine learning models to address business challenges, including detecting anomalies, predicting system failures, and enhancing decision-making.
• Optimize and refine models currently in production to improve their efficiency, scalability, and performance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and design teams to identify key areas for improvement and deliver practical solutions to meet customer needs.
• Design and maintain scalable data pipelines that handle large datasets and integrate them with machine learning systems.
• Build backend microservices to enhance system capabilities, address critical concerns, and implement secure and reliable solutions.
• Monitor the performance of deployed models and systems to identify vulnerabilities, gaps, and areas for improvement.
• Mentor junior engineers, contribute to knowledge-sharing, and foster a collaborative learning environment.

What You’ll Need:

• 8+ years of experience in machine learning, data science, or software engineering, with a strong track record in deploying ML models to solve real-world business problems.
• Strong proficiency in Python, with experience in machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Extensive experience with big data technologies and microservices, including tools such as Kafka, Spark, ElasticSearch, and cloud platforms (Azure).
• A deep understanding of scalability and distributed systems, including concepts like sharding, partitioning, and concurrency.
• Experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing machine learning models for production environments with a focus on scalability, reliability, and security.
• Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A strong commitment to engineering best practices, including rigorous testing, code reviews, and continuous integration.

Bonus Points:

• Experience in network optimization, security systems, or enterprise technology solutions.
• Familiarity with generative AI models or natural language processing (NLP).
• A graduate degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.

Commandlink hires individuals in a number of geographic regions and the pay ranges listed reflect the cost of labor across these regions. The base pay for this position as displayed at the bottom of the job description is a range based on our lowest geographic region, up to our highest geographic region. Pay is based on location among other factors, such as skill-set, experience, and qualifications held.
