We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee or Part Time Employee to join our Cost & Value Engineering (CVE) Team. Location for this position is in Jyväskylä, Finland. 

The CVE team is responsible for optimizing cost while ensuring maximum value for our products. It focuses on balancing cost reduction with delivering quality, functionality, and performance to meet customer requirements.

This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cost and value engineering activities, data analytics and processing, and costing support within a dynamic and collaborative environment. 

You will have an engineering / IT / data science background.  Understanding of common statistical models and theories, and basic understanding on machine learning is a plus. You are familiar with Microsoft Excel. Experience with Python is appreciated.  You have analytical and problem-solving skills. Most of all you have a keen interest in developing expertise in cost optimization and data-driven decision-making. 

Your main responsibilities will include: 
•    Cost and Value Engineering Activities: Supporting the CVE team in analyzing cost structures and identifying value optimization opportunities across various projects.
•    Costing Support: Assisting in preparing cost estimates, analyzing cost drivers, and validating cost data for product and process improvements.
•    Data Processing & Analysis: Collecting, organizing, and analyzing large datasets to generate actionable insights. Applying statistical analysis and data modelling techniques to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization.
•    Automation & Tools: Supporting the team in developing tools and automate tasks using scripting and data analysis tools (e.g.: Python, Power BI)
•    Collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, and procurement, to ensure alignment on cost and value goals.
•    Continuous Improvement: Contributing to the identification and implementation of process improvements within the CVE team.
