About the Role

As a Data Product Manager, you’ll be responsible for shaping and driving the vision, strategy, roadmap, features, and priorities for domain data products. Emphasising innovation and entrepreneurship, you’ll align internal and external data needs, managing product and feature teams to deliver early and continuous value. Additionally, lead engagements with business, vendors, and partners.

Overseeing the product roadmap and backlog; the role prioritises stakeholder needs and guides the transition from a project-based to a product-based approach. Furthermore, you’ll mentor and coach leaders in delivery, technical, and governance areas, collaborating with business stakeholders to translate project requirements into product features.

 

This is a permanent role open to candidates based in all the major cities in Australia or New Zealand.  

 

About You

To succeed in this role, you should have strong collaboration skills, experience driving innovation, and expertise in building and leading high-performing agile/DevOps teams, along with the following experience:

  • Experience in technology product development and management, ideally within the insurance industry.
  • Design and System thinking
  • Advanced work experience in environments where scaled agile frameworks were in use.
  • Advanced ability and techniques on facilitation, being able to support alignment and conflict resolution in both technical and business spheres
  • Technical competence in data and analytics technologies.
  • Advanced ability on storytelling and on translating business/technical language, simplifying communication and promoting better understanding amongst cross-skilled initiatives.
  • Advanced ability in building and inspiring high performing agile/DevOps team
  • JIRA Software, Confluence, Miro and relevant facilitation tools
  • Solid reporting, budget, risk & issue management
  • Open-source data environments and technologies
  • Data / Big Data transformation programs
