Senior Automation Engineer

The Senior Automation Engineer will develop, implement, and optimize automation solutions for our production and operational processes. You are expected to have a strong background in business process automation and experience with platforms like Power Automate. This role is crucial for enhancing efficiency, productivity, and innovation within our IT infrastructure.
Essential Functions:
- Identify automation opportunities and inefficiencies in existing processes for improvement.
- Design and implement automation solutions using software tools and programming languages.
- Develop detailed project plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless system integration.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Test, debug, and validate automated systems.
- Train and support operators and technicians on new automated processes.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in process automation.
- Ensure compliance with security standards, industry regulations, and company policies.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in process automation.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
- Experience with cloud computing platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with automation platforms like Terraform, Chef/Ansible/Puppet.
- Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience in an Agile environment.
- Proficiency in programming languages (Python, JavaScript, C#, Java).
- Experience with Microsoft tools (Scripting, Power Automate, PowerShell).
- Building and leveraging API calls.
- Knowledge of automation tools.
- System integration experience (CRM, ERP, ITSM, etc.).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills for cross-department collaboration.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality results.
- Experience with Microsoft, Python, and other scripting languages for automation.
- Knowledge of industry AI-driven automation solutions.
Physical Demands may Include:
- Sit at a computer for 8 hours per day
- Keyboarding for 8 hours per day
- Near Vision (working with small objects or reading small print)
- Speaking (communicating information to clients/coworkers)
- Hearing Requirements (In person speech, telephone, other sounds)
Job Location
- Hybrid if local to the Tempe, AZ area
- Remote if located outside of a reasonable commute
