Our challenge

As a Data Analyst, Candidate will be responsible for analyzing large datasets to inform business decisions, improve operational efficiencies, and drive strategic initiatives. Candidate will work closely with stakeholders across various departments to provide insights that enhance financial performance and customer experience.

Additional Information* 

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Mississauga, ON is CAD $100k - CAD $105k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Collect, process, and analyze financial data from various sources, including transactional data, market research, and customer insights.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics.
  • Perform data visualization to present findings in a clear and actionable format for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and provide analytical support for strategic initiatives.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the banking sector.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy by performing regular audits and quality checks.
  • Utilize statistical analysis and modeling techniques to support decision-making processes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in data analysis within the banking and financial sector.

Requirements:

You are:

  • Experience Range: 7+ Years 
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, or similar.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts, banking regulations, and market dynamics.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

It would be great if you also had:

  • Banking/ Financial experience is preferred
