What will you do?

As the Analyst, Insights and Performance Measurement, you will be responsible for providing analytical support to key clients within the business.  Specifically, you will become a significant contributor, developing actionable insights which will drive strategy, support with tactical initiatives, as well as improve efficiency within the organization. Your analysis will help promote and sustain the profitable growth of the business. You are the type of individual who can energize the people around you and inspire fellow employees and shareholders with your natural curiosity and problem-solving ability.

  • Establish a strong understanding of financial and customer related data sources, with emphasis on delivering data driven solutions that enhance our loyalty program.

  • Conduct a mix of ad-hoc and recurring analysis, as well as delivering performance analytics on our organization’s key strategic initiatives, as they relate to our loyalty program.

  • Extract, manipulate and interpret data to isolate on key trends. Summarize findings into concise and informative reports and presentations, which can be easily interpreted by business partners across the organization.

  • Where possible, enhance analysis with the use of statistical methods to provide support for findings – leveraging techniques such as hypothesis testing, clustering, classification or inferential modelling.

  • Support cross functional teams with knowledge of data analysis, model applications and use cases.

  • Provide proactive analyses on areas of the business which are influenced by customer behavior trends.

  • Knowledge of data science models and statistical analysis techniques.

  • Flexibility, energy, and ability to work well with others in a team environment.

  • Working knowledge of data management and design.

  • Passion for data, technology, and implementing technology for process improvement.

What are your skills and experience?

  • University Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or other quantitative discipline.

  • 1-3 years of working experience in data analytics.

  • Knowledge of SQL.

  • Knowledge of data and analytical software (SAS or Python). SAS certification considered an asset.

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint.

  • Knowledge of cohort analysis, customer segmentation, AB testing, inferential modelling.

  • Experience in Retail or Banking Industry an asset in any of the following areas: marketing or sales support, operations, finance.

  • Experience working with customer level data is considered an asset.
