About the role: 

The Director, Data and Analytics (Nintex Business Insights) will lead our growing team of Data Analysts and Data Engineers and be responsible for delivering key insights and analyses that help Nintex leaders make informed business decisions.  This leader will work with stakeholders across the company to ensure that every department at Nintex is empowered by reliable and accurate data to move the business forward. This is a high impact role that is equal parts strategic and technical and will have significant visibility to the senior leadership team.  

The right candidate will be comfortable leveraging a range of analytical techniques (descriptive, predictive & prescriptive) and solving problems at various points of the data lifecycle spectrum. Whether it is working with our data engineers to optimize our data pipelines or working with our analysts on a churn predictive model, this leader can provide their guidance and add value in multiple different ways.  Some of the sample challenges this leader will tackle - help Nintex optimize our product telemetry pipelines, improve the robustness of our financial data sets, build propensity models around X-sell and upsell and drive deep insights on the connection between product usage and churn.  

Your contribution will be:  

  • Champion all things data at Nintex: ensure that stakeholders at Nintex have access to the timely and accurate data driven insights that they need to do their jobs. 
  • You will translate business challenges into an analytical plan, thinking practically and creatively to craft quick, effective solutions to problems. 
  • Own the quality and performance of the data platform at Nintex, including platform architecture and instrumentation, data collection/processing/validation and data governance
  • Develop exceptional working relationships and collaborate with Finance, Product, Sales & Revenue Ops, Marketing, and CS teams to understand business problems and build and implement an analytical plan.  
  • You will drive compelling analyses (often using novel techniques) to identify revenue growth opportunities and deeply understand customer behavior to produce a variety of actionable insights.
  • Manage the data team: train, mentor and coach members of the data team, direct their work and support their career growth; identify the roles we need as we grow and hire fantastic people to fill those roles 

To be successful, we think you need:  

  • 10+ years of data analytics experience, B2B SaaS experience a strong plus. 
  • 5+ years of experience leading and mentoring data teams
  • Solid experience with cloud data platforms (Azure preferred) and cloud DBMS (Databricks preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., business analytics, finance, engineering, statistics, economics). MBA, a plus. 
  • Strong hands-on skills to lead by example, with proficiency across the entire data lifecycle (data pipeline management, data analysis, and visualization) 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to understand the “big picture.” 
  • Successful Track record of translating data, insights, and trends into the execution of clear actionable strategies.
  • Exceptional communication and influence skills, ability to use data-driven storytelling to communicate effectively with senior management and persuade certain actions or decisions.  
  • A deep understanding of business priorities and the ability to partner with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills – setting the right expectations, knowing where and how to push back, handling ambiguity, and prioritizing across multiple projects.
