If you are a Data Analyst professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in either our Shakopee, MN or Boulder, CO location, the Data Analyst role will be responsible for gathering requirements, analyzing datasets, generating insights, and supporting data-driven decision-making processes. This position is part of the Global Sales, Inventory & Operations team, and supports the reporting needs of various teams worldwide. 

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Work with partners and colleagues to deliver queries, tools, metrics, and datasets.
  • Gathering requirements and collaborate with users to understand data needs.
  • Design, build, and deploy BI solutions. Including reports, dashboards, and visualizations of information.
  • Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify trends and patterns.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from various databases.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity through regular audits and validation processes.
  • Present findings and recommendations to collaborators in a clear and concise manner.
Who You Are:
You effectively communicate in various settings: one-on-one, small and large groups, or among diverse styles and position levels. You show consistency between words and actions. You make decisions and take actions without the total picture. You experiment to find new solutions.   For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of two (2) years of professional related experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship will not be provided for this role
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
  • Proficient in Excel, and other Microsoft Applications
  • Knowledge of SQL, including writing queries to extract and analyze large volumes of data
  • Knowledge of Power Query
  • Knowledge in data visualization tools such as Power BI
  • Some knowledge of Oracle

Our training programs and initiatives focus on end-to-end development, from onboarding through senior leadership. We provide a wide range of development opportunities, including face-to-face and virtual training, mentorship and coaching, project management, and on-the-job training.

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $70,000 - $83,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
