TEAMWoven by Toyota’s Advanced AD/ADAS organization is developing the core algorithms for safe and robust driving of complex and uncertain real-world environments. Our teams are contributing to next generation autonomy and ADAS active safety systems through core algorithms, data-driven approaches, and efficient architectures. We are looking for interns with a computer science or robotic background who are interested in working with motion planning engineers and learning about the AD/ADAS industry. WHAT WE'LL GIVE YOUDuring this internship, you will get a chance to work with our Motion Planning Engineers to explore new ideas to improve quality and safety of automated rides of the next generation of Toyota vehicles. Woven by Toyota internships are structured to ensure you grow both technically and professionally. You will get a chance to work on real projects that will impact future key results of our mission, while receiving constant feedback, and clear goals/directions. This is achieved by providing you support from both mentors, and managers, throughout your entire internship period. At the end of the internship, you will also have the opportunity to share and present the results of your project with the team, as well as others that may be interested in your achievements. RESPONSIBILITIES●      Prototype state of the art algorithms to improve the capabilities for vehicle motion planning.●      Use metrics to measure, validate, improve performance through testing in simulation and on roads.●      Participate in ideation to explore potential solutions for issues reported in simulation or from road tests. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS●      M.S., Ph.D students in Robotics, Control, Computer Science.●      Familiar with motion planning or decision making algorithms, e.g. trajectory optimization, sampling-based planning, model predictive control, machine learning, etc.●      Proficient in C++, and may have familiarity with Python or other programming languages.●      Excellent communicator and passionate about algorithm design. NICE TO HAVES (optional)Worked on AD/ADAS related projects (ex. projects at school, previous internships)Our Commitment・We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity.・Any information we receive from you will be used only in the hiring and onboarding process.
