OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Software QA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of our AI-powered Assistant and Conversation Simulator. You will work closely with the development, product, and AI teams to create and execute comprehensive test plans, including both manual and automated testing, with a focus on the specific challenges of AI-driven conversational systems.
OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS:
- Test Planning & Strategy: Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans for AI-driven conversational systems, with a focus on functionality, performance, and usability.
- Test Case Development: Design, implement, and execute detailed test cases that simulate real-world conversational scenarios, evaluating AI accuracy, response quality, and system performance.
- Automation: Create, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts for continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) environments, focusing on regression, load, and performance testing for AI models and natural language processing (NLP) components.
- Manual Testing: Perform thorough manual testing of AI responses to ensure system functionality aligns with expected conversational flow, tone, and accuracy.
- Defect Management: Identify, document, and track issues in the system, working closely with developers and AI engineers to ensure timely resolution.
- AI-Specific Quality Assurance: Evaluate and test AI models, focusing on the accuracy of language understanding (NLU), machine learning (ML) algorithms, and contextual responses.
- Regression Testing: Develop and manage regression test suites for both newly added features and existing functionality to ensure consistent performance and reliability over time.
- Performance Testing: Assess the system’s performance, scalability, and responsiveness under load, ensuring the AI assistant provides timely and accurate responses in high-traffic scenarios.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, AI, product management) to ensure smooth integration and alignment of AI functionalities with user requirements.
- Documentation: Write detailed reports of testing outcomes, document issues, and provide suggestions for improvement in functionality and user experience.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 1 year of experience in testing AI, machine learning, or NLP-based applications.
- Proven experience in testing chatbots, virtual assistants, or AI-based conversational systems is a strong plus.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
- Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, etc.).
- Understanding of machine learning concepts, natural language processing (NLP), and AI model testing.
- Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills with a focus on attention to detail. Ability to identify edge cases and effectively simulate conversational scenarios.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
- Mindset: Strong passion for AI technology and a commitment to delivering high-quality products.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Knowledge of AI model training and evaluation techniques.
- Familiarity with cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
