We’re looking for talented enthusiasts to join Veo’s Builders team and make an impact that empowers sports communities worldwide. We’re democratizing sports by providing video analysis to teams of all levels—once a privilege for only a few.
You can now join our passionate team that solves exciting challenges in AI, data analytics, and cloud infrastructure, thriving in a collaborative environment.
As a global leader in AI-based sports camera technology, over 40,000 clubs in 90+ countries use Veo Cams weekly to record their games.
The opportunity
The heart of this technology is our embedded Linux based camera, that records games using multiple cameras, and using our own advanced video processing algorithms, stitches them together to show one continuous playfield. AI and cloud teams then process the stream with our AI models, which we are proud to say lead the industry in our field, and which enables both players and coaches to see detailed statistics of goals, ball possession, passes, and lots of other data.
We are looking for an Embedded Linux Developer, to contribute to our camera firmware team.
We have designated teams for most of our video processing and AI, so we don’t expect you to be an expert in those fields. You will still have to interface with both worlds though, and therefore have the opportunity to get experience with both domains
You have experience with working on connected embedded products, and have a natural and proactive drive for keeping the products and the firmware ecosystem in a healthy state, not afraid to dive into everything from Yocto configuration to application architecture.
As with many embedded Linux products, writing code is only part of the day to day work. We are therefore looking for someone with a strong foundation in embedded Linux, that enjoy debugging day to day challenges with Yocto, bootloaders, filesystems, kernel modules, systemd and d-bus.Our firmware stack is a combination of Rust, Python and C, so fluency in at least two of the languages is preferred.

What you could bring

  • Linux Systems Programming Expertise in developing firmware for embedded Linux (Yocto) systems, including Yocto configuration, device trees, inter-process communication, state management, self-diagnostics, automated testing, bootloaders.
  • MCU programming Ability to develop low-level drivers and firmware for a variety of MCU architectures and real-time operating systems, interfacing them with external peripherals, battery management systems, firmware updates and device trees.
  • Wireless communication (BLE / WiFi) Experience with building BLE devices, implementing and optimizing GATT services, device discovery and connection handling. Experience with devices supporting both BLE and WiFi, as well as handling communication with mobile devices.
  • Integration with cloud systems Integrating embedded systems with cloud services, particularly using REST APIs. Familiarity with AWS services and experience in diagnosing and deploying remote monitoring, logging, and OTA update solutions like Memfault or Mender.
  • Linux media pipelines (Gstreamer) Building and optimizing Linux-based media pipelines using GStreamer.
  • Embedded hardware knowledge Understanding of embedded hardware design, schematics, board bring-up, peripheral interfacing, and troubleshooting hardware/software interactions.

Environment/Language/Tools/Platforms

  • Rust, Python, C
  • NVIDIA Jetson platform
  • Yocto/OpenEmbedded/meta-tegra
  • CUDA, Gstreamer, ffmpeg
  • GitHub (Actions)
