Responsibilities

  • Business-Driven Data Projects: Translate key business metrics and challenges into actionable data projects that address core operational needs. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and align on deliverables.
  • Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA): Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies. Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Data Preparation: Assess data validity and ensure datasets are clean, accurate, and prepared for analysis. Determine additional data requirements to support decision-making.
  • Automation & Code Maintenance: Build and maintain Python scripts to automate processes and workflows. Test and troubleshoot code to ensure efficiency and scalability.
  • Insights & Reporting: Create analysis, reports, and dashboards using SQL/Python to effectively communicate findings. Leverage tools like Hex, Mode, or equivalents to deliver actionable insights that enable decision-making and operational improvements.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Present findings clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences. Equip stakeholders with data-based recommendations to drive impact.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role, ideally within a product-based startup.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation.
    • Advanced skills in SQL for querying and data manipulation.
    • Experience with PostgreSQL or equivalent relational databases.
    • Experience with visualization tools like Looker, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Data Foundations: Expertise in data validation, cleaning, and preparation techniques.
  • Problem-Solving: Proven ability to connect data insights to business problems and implement impactful solutions.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders (technical and highly non-technical individuals).
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to start with ambiguous problems, access and analyze relevant data, and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on data accuracy and the ability to produce reliable analysis.
  • Adaptability: Comfort in working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
  • Independence & Learning: Demonstrated ability to continuously learn, work independently, and make sound decisions with minimal supervision.

    Nice-to-Haves

  • Exposure to tools like Zapier or similar for automating workflows and processes.
  • Working knowledge of statistical methods for data analysis, including hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and probability theory, to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Familiarity with tools such as AWS, Git, and Postman
  • Experience with machine learning, predictive analytics, or advanced analytics techniques to solve complex business problems and drive deeper insights.

What We Offer

  • A High-Impact Role: Your work will directly contribute to cost savings and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaborative Team Environment: Be part of a supportive team that values growth, creative solutions, and shared success.
