Job Description

The Associate Data Governance Engineer will be a member of the Information Governance team. He/she will act as a subject matter expert on topics like Data Governance, Data Cataloging, Data quality and Data Classification.  Collect business requirements for data governance activities.

  • Facilitate the collection and organization of data assets.
  • Work with data owners and stakeholders to implement and maintain data governance policies.
  • Maintains data governance roadmap including data, data lineage maps and process flows on track.
  • Manage the technical aspects of Data Governance Tools including configuring and maintaining the system lifecycle.
  • Socialize policies and procedures for managing data assets, including data quality, data stewardship, and lineage.
  • Document and maintain data standards and procedures through partnering with functional and business data owners.
  • Monitor and report on compliance to data standards and procedures.
  • Collaborate in the capture and organization of data assets.
  • Recommend improvements to data quality through systems and platforms.
  • Develop and maintain data quality rules and business glossary entries.
  • Support stakeholder engagement and contribute to data Governance related projects across the enterprise.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
  • Master's Degree Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or related field Preferred.
  • Three (3) plus years experience in data management, data analysis or computer science.
  • Two (2) plus years experience working within Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Privacy, or related fields. 
  • Working knowledge of various Data Governance tools such as Atlan, Collibra, Alation etc. 
  • Experience with a broad range of Information Governance use cases and audiences for Data Quality and Data Governance.
  • Experience with IT and Business process analysis and improvement.
  • Strong record of accomplishment of communicating results.
  • Effective communication and writing skills; extensive experience in a business-facing role; exceptional problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills with the capability to prioritize and use independent judgment to support an environment driven by customer service and teamwork
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and cross-functional environment, where multiple conflicting objectives need to be prioritized and achieved

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $53,521.00 and $96,736.75. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
