Why you should join:

TE Connectivity is looking for an experienced S/W system engineer to join its Industrial and Medical Sensors Engineering Organization as Algorithmic Developer. In this position you will report to the Manager for IoT Software Development, and you will be responsible for design, development, verification and validation of firmware and embedded software for our IoT products. You will work in close collaboration with hardware and software engineers to develop efficient and reliable solutions for our customers. 

Your main tasks:

• Provide technical leadership and resolve complex technical issues also by guiding and overseeing projects Design and development of efficient and complex algorithms 
• Development of decision support systems 
• Validate concepts by high-quality software prototypes and demonstrators 
• Maintain and update existing algorithms to ensure responsiveness, accuracy and efficiency 
• Analyze data to identify trends and patterns 
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software 
• Create documentation 
• Collaborate with other software developers 

Your ideal background:

• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science or relevant field combined with academic experience or professional experience in software engineering 
• Deep knowledge of math, probability, statistics and algorithmic development 
• Experience with high level prototyping software languages (e.g. Matlab, Python, Julia) 
• Hands on experience in developing efficient and reliable software, with excellent programming skills (e.g C#, C++, Rust, Java, etc.) and strong grasp of object-oriented programming is necessary 
• Good understanding of machine learning frameworks (e.g. Keras) and libraries (e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc)
• Experience in sensor technology or embedded software development is a plus
• Written and spoken fluency in English
