Proposal Manager (Data & AI)

About the role 

At OneByZero, we’re building a modern consulting organization to help businesses unlock the potential of Data, AI, and ML. We deliver impactful solutions with a team of domain experts and industry specialists. As we scale, we’re looking for a Proposal Manager to lead our bid efforts and help us win transformational deals.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Proposal Management:
  

• Own the entire proposal lifecycle for RFPs and RFIs, ensuring timely, high-quality submissions.
  

• Lead cross-functional teams (technical, commercial, delivery) to create comprehensive responses.
  

• Develop reusable templates, case studies, and boilerplate content.
  

• Technical Review and Strategy:
  

• Review and refine technical solutions related to Data & AI to align with client requirements.
  

• Work closely with delivery and technical teams to ensure feasibility and scalability.
  

• Client Engagement:
  

• Attend RFP clarification calls to address technical and functional queries with authority.
  

• Collaborate with account managers to align proposals with client expectations.
  

• Commercial Input:
  

• Collaborate with leadership on pricing models, margins, and overall commercial strategy.
  

• Ensure proposals are competitive while meeting profitability targets.
  

• Process Optimization:
  

• Standardize and improve proposal processes, introducing automation where possible.
  

• Build and manage a repository of reusable content for future bids.
  

Requirements

Key Qualifications

• Experience:
  

• 7+ years in proposal or bid management, pre-sales, or solutioning roles.
  

• Strong exposure to Data & AI technologies, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and enterprise solutions.
  

• Skills:
  

• Exceptional writing and communication skills to articulate technical and business solutions.
  

• Strong leadership and organizational skills to rally cross-functional teams.
  

• Familiarity with pricing strategies and commercial models for IT/AI services.
  

• Technical Knowledge:
  

• Understanding of data pipelines, AI/ML solutions, and cloud technologies.
  

• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into client-centric proposals.
