We are seeking a talented Computational Data Scientist who thrives at the interface between mathematical modelling and chemical engineering to advance our innovative research and modeling efforts.
Your role in our team
- As a Computational Data Scientist, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between statistical and mathematical modelling and real-world engineering applications in the biopharmaceutical field
- Your tasks will involve developing advanced mathematical and statistical models
- Moreover, you will contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of our proprietary python tools and provide support to the existing team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages the application of both data science and engineering expertise
Your profile
- A Master or Ph.D. in computational science, chemical engineering, mathematical modelling, or a related field
- A strong programming background is essential (Python3)
- A mathematical background, with familiarity in solving partial differential equations (PDEs) and ordinary differential equations (ODEs)
- Expertise in statistical regression modeling, including OLS and linear mixed models
- Competence in using Git for version control
- Work experience in applying scientific computing within a software development context is a plus
- A strong background with deep neural networks and machine learning tools is a plus
- Previous experience in biotechnology or the biopharmaceutical industry is not required

We offer an attractive salary package in line with your qualification, experience and individual competencies. We are legally obliged to state that the minimum salary for this position refers to the applicable collective agreement, which is EUR 40.000,00 p.a. (based on full-time). Of course, we are willing to pay a market-rate salary depending on your qualifications and professional background.
