BI Data Modeler Architect

• Design, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to integrate data for PSW’s BI and analytics systems. 

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate business requirements into data model designs. 

• Ensure data models adhere to best practices for performance, scalability, and maintainability. 

• Work closely with data engineers to define ETL pipelines and ensure seamless integration of data into BI platforms. 

• Optimize data models for reporting tools such as Oracle Analytics Server, Power BI, or Tableau. 

• Establish and enforce standards for data quality, consistency, and accuracy within the data warehouse. 

• Implement data lineage and metadata management practices in dimensional data models.  

• Analyze and optimize queries, indexes, and data structures to improve BI reporting and dashboard performance. 

• Monitor and troubleshoot data models for potential performance issues. 

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of data models, definitions, and relationships. 

• Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and BI developers to align data models with reporting and analytics requirements. 

• Stay updated with advancements in BI tools, database technologies, and data modeling methodologies. 

• Evaluate and recommend tools or frameworks to enhance PSW’s BI and data modeling capabilities. 

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.  

• 9+ years of experience in data modeling, BI, or data warehousing. 

• Strong experience in designing and implementing data warehouses or data lakes. 

• Expertise in data modeling tools (e.g., Erwin, SQL Developer Data Modeler, Toad Data Modeler). 

• Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation. 

• Experience with BI platforms such as Oracle Analytics Server, Power BI, or Tableau. 

• Familiarity with database technologies like Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL. 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 

• Excellent communication and documentation skills. 

• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
