Our Tech team

The Tech, Data, and Product team comprises 70+ people from diverse backgrounds, working in our offices in Nantes, Paris, and Barcelona. Our products are developed thanks to six autonomous product Teams, each working on a specific business domain.

The Data team

The Data team (currently 3 members) plays a critical role in supporting both our internal operations and external data offerings across our 4 core products: NetMarkets, NetAmplify, NetRivals, and NetMonitor.

Our team's vision is simple: "to become a key driver of growth for Lengow and its clients". We achieve this through three main areas:

  1. Empowering internal teams with data-driven decision-making tools, including dashboards, analyses, and reports.
  2. Delivering scalable, and easily maintainable custom data products - such as dashboards and custom analyses - tailored to meet client needs.
  3. Guiding product development by providing actionable insights and data-driven features.

The Data team: leading the data transformation

Lengow is currently in the middle of a data transformation. After a recent acquisition, we’re building a unified data warehouse to unlock the full potential of data across all our products. This will enable better decision-making, create synergies in client-facing data products, and support the development of data-driven features in collaboration with the product team.

At the same time, we’re focused on increasing scale and automation our client-facing data products, such as dashboards and custom reports, which currently require manual intervention. Additionally, our current data warehouse setup needs improvement to simplify data retrieval and analysis. We’re also reassessing whether our existing tools (ETL/ELT, data visualization, etc.) align with our long-term data vision.

We operate as a product team, following Scrum, with a clear data roadmap that includes both technical and non-technical projects. As part of the team, you’ll primarily focus on technical projects that you propose and agree with the team, ensuring they deliver tangible business impact.

As of now, some of the most important technical projects in our 2025 data roadmap are:

- Enhance the data model of the data warehouse to improve clarity and ease of analysis.

- Assess and upgrade - or replace - current data tools to better meet our needs.

- Develop a scalable, maintainable approach for building custom data products for clients.

Missions and profile

This role is perfect for those who thrive on tackling technical challenges while delivering measurable business impact (because tech exists to drive business value!). We value your ideas and encourage you to propose and lead technical improvements and impactful projects.

As a Senior Data Engineer on our newly formed team, you’ll work with vast datasets - thousands of catalogs, millions of products, and billions of entries from e-commerce websites. Your mission: unlock the full potential of this data to create value for Europe’s leading e-commerce players.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Technical guidance: lead the evolution of our data transformation, including improving the data model and optimizing data tools.
  • Custom data products: in the short term (6-9 months), support and enhance the custom data products we currently offer clients, involving both data engineering and analytics tasks.
  • Technical project management: propose and deliver key technical projects from our data roadmap, such as improving the data stack, refining data models, or developing scalable frameworks for client data products (after you get familiar with them in your first months).
  • Collaboration: partner with cross-functional teams, including Product and Commercial, to define and implement high-quality, impactful solutions.

Requirements

We’re seeking a proactive, collaborative, and impact-driven professional to join our team. Here’s what you bring to the table:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in data engineering or a similar role in a SaaS or e-commerce-focused organization.
  • Skilled in coding, data modeling and design, and aligning technical solutions with business goals.
  • A natural and kind communicator who fosters teamwork and inspires those around them.
  • A proactive, autonomous and flexible professional. Working in a small team can mean juggling with roles of Data Analyst, Data Engineer, etc.
  • Experience with SQL, BigQuery, Google Cloud, ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Talend, Apache NiFi), and data visualization tools (e.g., Looker Studio).
  • You are business fluent in English (any other language is a plus; we mainly speak English, Spanish, Catalan, French, and Italian in our offices).

We highly value your ideas and welcome recommendations on tools and technologies to amplify our business impact!

Bonus points if you:

  • Know and are passionate about web and e-commerce.
  • Bring fresh perspectives to our data challenges.

No panic if you don’t match perfectly! If interested, you should apply, we’d probably love to help you grow by our side 😉

Benefits

  • Flexible work schedule: Monday-Thursday, 9 am-6 pm; Fridays, 9 am-3 pm. Start between 8-10 am with adjusted end times.
  • Hybrid work: at least 2 in-office days per week (Thursday and any day of your choice).
  • Office location: our Barcelona office (San Andreu) offers stunning 360° views of the city.
  • Perks: possible to obtain discounts on gym memberships (Gympass/Wellhub), private medical insurance (Adeslas) and ticket restaurant card (Edenred).
  • Vibrant culture: work in an international, collaborative environment with colleagues from across Europe. Happy Breaks with the whole office on Thursdays at 5pm.

Recruitment process

  1. Pre-interview: Chat with Alexandre, Talent Acquisition Manager (30').
  2. Team interview: Meet Edoardo (Data Team Manager) and team members (60'). If you make it to the next phase, you'll be facing a technical case presentation (we estimate 5-10h to complete it) that you'll present 7 days after.
  3. Final interview: Present a technical case to Edoardo and Olivier (Chief Product and Technology Officer) (60').
