Lead the Charge in Commercial Finance – Commercial Manager (Mako Robotics)

Are you ready to take on a high-impact, fast-paced role at the intersection of finance and strategy? We’re seeking a Commercial Manager - Mako to join our Finance team for a 18-month contract. Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager, this pivotal role places you in the heart of our Commercial Business Partnering team.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the Mako commercial finance team to drive function performance with P&L ownership and management reporting.

  • Business partner with divisions and build strong relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Lead the end-to-end forecasting and annual budgeting process, long-term strategic planning and provide advice on risks & opportunities.

  • Support decision making through financial modelling, insights and analysis of key performance drivers.

  • Lead investment appraisal reviews, business cases, pricing strategy and pre-alignment/approval processes and provide recommendations.

  • Drive continuous process improvement, automation and implement best practices.

  • Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to a high performing team.

Critical Requirements (e.g. skills, experience, qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance related topic is required

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience.

  • CA/CPA qualified or working towards it is strongly preferred

  • Proven relationship building and influencing capabilities.

  • Strong communication skills and proven ability to manage stakeholder expectations.

  • Intermediate to advanced excel knowledge with the ability to leverage advanced formulas, Macros, tools and shortcuts to analyse and provide insights on data.

  • Able to create advanced Power BI reports strongly preferred.

  • Ability to provide coaching and support to other team members is preferred.
