Responsible for supporting enterprise-wide data initiatives and strengthening data capabilities. This role focuses on ensuring seamless operational support for both legacy systems and data lake, while upholding data quality standards and promoting best practices. The analyst is responsible for encouraging effective collaboration with stakeholders and overseeing the successful transition of operational tasks to the production support team. Also responsible for providing project and system support for Columbia Threadneedle Investments enterprise data assets, including security master, product master, party master, account master, and index master. Project and change support includes analysis, writing requirements, mapping data from source to target systems, influencing and approving design, testing, conversion and implementation.

Skills:

  • Understanding of the asset management industry, including familiarity with various asset types and the range of products offered by asset management firms.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels, as well as with external partners when necessary.
  • Experience collaborating with operations, investment, and distribution teams to gather and provide the necessary data to support their functions and objectives.
  • Skilled in collecting and interpreting user requirements from business stakeholders and product owners and translating them into clear data specifications for development.
  • Experience with key data systems such as AWS, Golden Source, Aladdin, PACE, MEDM, and Profisee with an intermediate to advanced level of expertise, or a willingness to learn.
  • Experience in testing large data sets and collaborating with the testing team to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Comfortable working with SQL, or willingness to quickly develop SQL skills as needed.
  • Ability to foster a positive team environment, encouraging collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement among team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Functional Responsibilities:
    • Assist in the execution of enterprise-wide programs by offering reliable and consistent data delivery.
    • Provide data expertise for cross-functional projects, ensuring data integrity and availability.
    • Contribute to the implementation of data governance practices, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
    • Partner with product owners and technology teams to develop scalable, reliable, and user-friendly data solutions.
    • Gathering, analyzing, documenting, and translating business requirements into functional specifications that can be used to design and implement solutions to meet business objectives.
    • Update/create user and technical documentation procedure and manuals, operational support documentation.
    • Provide ongoing support to maintain operational stability for legacy systems such as AWS, Golden Source, Aladdin, PACE, MEDM, and Profisee.
    • Participate in efforts to integrate data from legacy systems into a centralized Data Lake, ensuring scalability and flexibility for future needs.
    • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure legacy systems are seamlessly integrated with data platforms.
    • Provide guidance and training to business users on how to effectively access, navigate, and use data stored in databases and data lake.
    • Oversee the implementation and monitoring of data quality checks to ensure data is accurate, complete, and reliable.
    • Support transition of Business-as-Usual (BAU) activities to the production support team, ensuring minimal disruption.
    • Collaborate with the India-based support team to facilitate knowledge transfer and establish clear documentation for ongoing support.

Base Pay Salary

The estimated base salary for this role is $75,200 - $88,200 / year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
