Position Summary

The Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) is one of the most widely used healthcare quality data sets in the country. HEDIS calculates how health care organizations perform on various quality metrics across several quality-of-care domains. HEDIS reporting is a requirement for NCQA Accreditation, CMS for Medicare and Exchange lines of business, and various State Medicaid offices, Departments of Insurance and/or Health. HEDIS is tied to performance metrics and performance dollars across the healthcare industry. This position is located on the Clinical Platforms HEDIS Data Enablement and Annual Reporting Team and is responsible for planning, monitoring and managing internal projects from initiation through completion.

• Acts as a top-level specialist in project management, providing experience-based guidance and mentorship to support successful project execution - including writing queries to identify trends, draw conclusions, make recommendations and validate results.
• Adapts project management methodologies and best practices to meet the unique needs of each project and ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
• Advises project teams and stakeholders on project management principles, practices, and approaches to enhance project outcomes and mitigate risks.
• Applies highly-developed project management skills to effectively plan, execute, and monitor complex projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
• Approves project plans, and resource allocations, authorizing project initiation and ensuring adherence to project governance and standards.
• Benchmarks project performance against industry standards, best practices, and key performance indicators, identifying opportunities for improvement and driving excellence.
• Checks project deliverables, milestones, and timelines to ensure timely and accurate project completion, providing guidance and support to project teams as needed.
• Coaches team members, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to enhance work area project management skills and contribute to key professional growth.
• Consults on project management practices, processes, and tools, collaborating with stakeholders to establish effective project management frameworks and ensure successful project outcomes.

Required Qualifications

5+  years’ work experience in project management

Adept at problem solving and decision making skills

Adept at collaboration and teamwork

Adept at growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills

Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with HEDIS or other quality measurement system

Project Management experience

Regulatory reporting and/or audit experience

Experience with SAFe Agile methodology

GCP Big Query, Python experience

Education

Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience in Public Health, Health Care Informatics, Data Science, or related field of study

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$82,940.00 - $182,549.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
