Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is

$63,750 - $180,400

Lilly is entering an exciting period of growth, and we are committed to delivering innovative medicines to patients around the world. Lilly is investing over $300 Million to create a new state-of-the-art manufacturing site for Gene Therapy, in Lebanon, Indiana. The brand-new facility will utilize the latest technology for Gene Therapy Manufacturing and Technology. This is an exciting once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to help build and operate a new site. The Lilly Lebanon Advanced Therapeutic site will be built using the latest high-tech equipment, advanced highly integrated and automated manufacturing systems, and have a focus on minimizing the impact to our environment.

Main Purpose and Objectives of Position:

The Lilly Lebanon Advanced Therapeutic facility will be digitally enabled from start-up with fully digital and integrated production processes and systems. To support and enable the running of this plant, a robust architecture is required. The architecture needs to include IT and OT data while based on cloud technology. This role will have the responsibility of defining this data strategy within the bounds of the Global MQ Definitions and related architecture. They will need to work with the stakeholders at the site and in the global M&Q organization to ensure delivery of the solutions prioritized for Lilly Lebanon Advanced Therapeutics at start-up.  

Requirements for the Role:

  • Deep Knowledge on Data Architecture and integration patterns.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated experience in design and delivery of manufacturing/business IDS solutions (MES, Data and Analytics etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead.
  • Guide Tech at Lilly and business representatives on problem resolution and digital solution design and implementation.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of plant operations required to ensure digital solutions meet business requirements.
  • Ability to network both within site and at a global level.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a willingness to lead others through processes.
  • Work with technology teams to define long-term data management strategy and capability roadmaps.
  • Provide expert knowledge of data management principles, standards, and best practices to business and technology teams.
  • Design conceptual and logical data architectures that enable the implementation of intended business outcomes and re-usable, data products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be an influential player of site leadership on digital strategy to ensure technology is seen as an enabler for site strategic initiatives, specifically for Data Integrity.
  • Provide input to Business Plan and site strategic exercises to drive progress on digital direction.
  • Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance.
  • Design and oversee the implementation of data integration processes to ingest, clean, and transform data from various sources.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of business processes at the site. Apply knowledge to digital solutions to support the business processes. Collaborate with representatives across the site to analyze opportunities and implement solutions that maximize business value.
  • Critically evaluate user requests and use technical and process knowledge to determine underlying true business needs.
  • Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze trade-offs between usability and performance needs.
  • Provide expertise and leadership in the development and integration of IT solutions that support systems and business processes.
  • Develop or update project plans including the determination of project activities and milestones. Provided oversight of multiple project and communications status.
  • Work with Lilly Global Partners to implement Lilly standards and process.

Your Basic Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field
  • Minimum 5-10 years of relevant manufacturing IT experience 
  • 7+ years of work experience in pharma or equivalent environment with experience in various roles.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide input to Business Plan and site strategic exercises to drive progress on digital direction.
  • Review the work of contractors and Lilly employees related to their assignments.
  • Mentoring and coaching team members
  • 7+ years of work experience in pharma or equivalent environment with experience in various roles.
  • Travel 10% to 15%
