Job Description

We're seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our agile, cross-functional team as a key contributor. You will design, develop, and implement data-driven solutions to drive business outcomes at Kraft Heinz. You will work with your team and manager on advanced analytics and DS modelling projects from inception to production, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver high-impact results.

  • Mentor and guide junior data scientists, fostering growth in technical and analytical expertise

  • Conduct rigorous testing, validation, and maintenance of models to ensure scalability, reliability, and accuracy

  • Stay informed about advancements in data science and machine learning, integrating cutting-edge techniques into ongoing projects

  • Design and evaluate experiments, such as A/B tests, to measure the impact of assortment changes

  • Analyze consumer purchasing patterns using panel data to drive actionable, data-informed decision-making

A recipe for success: Applied now if this sounds like you!

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related role, with a focus on assortment optimization or similar domains

  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and widely used machine learning libraries, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn, as well as traditional Python libraries for regression and causal modeling, including statsmodels and linearmodels

  • Familiarity with cloud-based platforms, such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure

  • Experience with optimization algorithms and econometric models to analyze trends and support decision-making

  • Expertise in working with panel data to extract insights, including creating product partitions using embeddings derived from shopper transaction data

  • Proficiency in building basic user interfaces for data science applications using Python libraries such as Streamlit, to effectively present findings and enable interactive exploration of data

  • In-depth understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning techniques, and optimization strategies

  • Proven ability to manage and analyze large datasets and build efficient data pipelines

  • Strong communication skills to translate complex findings into actionable insights for technical and non-technical audiences

  • Skilled at designing and implementing scalable solutions tailored to dynamic business environments

  • Expertise in utilizing advanced techniques, such as product embeddings, to enhance predictive capabilities and improve recommendation systems

  • Hands-on experience collaborating with category managers or retail teams to align technical outputs with business goals
