About the team

The Expansion team is at the centre of bringing the Careem Everything App to new cities across the region. With more than 20 products operating on our platform, Careem has a proven ability to build products that simplify and improve the lives of our customers. The expansion team is responsible for scaling these products to new cities in an efficient way. It will be part of the team’s mandate to lay down a clear path for our expansion across our footprint and work with GMs and cross-functional colleagues to deliver on it.

What you'll do

  • Data Strategy & Governance:Develop and manage the organization's data strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives while maintaining high data quality and governance standards.
  • Business Intelligence & Reporting:Design, develop, and maintain automated dashboards and reporting solutions to support business units with real-time and accurate data.
  • Data Infrastructure Management:Oversee the design and implementation of scalable data platforms, pipelines, and ETL processes to ensure efficient data storage, access, and utilization.
  • Metrics & Experimentation:Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), conduct experiments, and evaluate the success of business interventions to drive growth and operational excellence.
  • Insight Generation:Transform complex datasets into meaningful insights through in-depth analysis, helping stakeholders make data-informed decisions.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, provide data solutions, and educate teams on leveraging data effectively.

What You'll need

  • 6–8 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, and reporting.
  • Proficient in SQL, data visualization tools (Tableau, Python and Power BI)
  • Strong analytical skills to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Solid knowledge of AB testing.
  • Experience building pipelines and ETLs that transform structured and unstructured data sets in large-scale
