How You’ll Help Us Connect the World

As a Data Quality Analyst Intern, you will be responsible for implementing Openmetadata and taxonomy projects as part of the RUCKUS Customer Success. You will work closely with the Operations (CS Ops) and Application Development Engineering (ADE) teams to improve RUCKUS customer, product and data management.  This role will be based in Sunnyvale, CA or remote.

 

You Will Make an Impact By

  • Collaborating with the data stakeholders to assess and improve data quality across various datasets.
  • Utilizing BigQuery and Openmetadata to analyze and validate data for accuracy and consistency.
  • Developing and implementing data quality standards and processes to ensure data integrity.
  • Conducting data profiling and data cleansing activities to identify and resolve data quality issues.
  • Working with stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide insights to support business decisions.
  • Generating reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to management.
  • Participating in data governance discussions and contribute to the development of data quality metrics.
  • Staying up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends in data quality management.

 

Required Qualifications for Consideration

  • Actively pursuing a bachelor’s (upcoming sophomores, juniors & seniors) or master’s degree in the following Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited university
  • Proven strong academic performer with a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Understanding of data governance and data quality principles.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically about data quality challenges.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data analysis tools.
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship

You Will Excite Us If You

  • Demonstrate knowledge of data integration and ETL / ELT processes.
  • Develop in Python / R or other data analysis languages
  • Work with GitHub and CI/CD platforms
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Pay attention to detail and commit to maintaining high data quality standards.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Show innovation through unique ideas and propose them to the team
  • Are able to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and effectively meet deadlines
  • Demonstrate strategic and creative thinking
  • Show initiative as a self-starter with analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and flexible to changing priorities
