Job Title:                    Systems Engineer

Job Description:        Provide technical support for data processing problems and production escalations. Manage centralized ticket queues and assign and track tasks for timely resolutions. Design and develop solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, and network concerns. Provide unit tests to prove issues are fixed and perform regression testing. Release builds to production systems using CI/CD tools. Create new and enhance new features as part of development projects. Provide and refine production steps for production issues and will troubleshoot and rectify application errors by analyzing application/job logs, processes, and procedures. Perform data analysis tasks with SQL to analyze data processing errors and will create complex ad hoc reports using free forms SQL based on user requests. Improve operational efficiency by automating the workflow.

Education Required:        Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field

Experience Required:       1 year of experience as a Software Developer, Data Engineer, Data Analyst, Software Engineer, or related occupation

Special Requirements:     Must have at least 1 year of prior work experience in each of the following:

1. Full stack development using Python or Java programming language.

2. Handling and developing RESTful APIs.

3. Data analysis using at least two of the following relational databases: DB2, RedShift, MySQL, and/or Netezza.

4. Creating complex SQL queries and reports for sales insights, trend analysis, and risk assessments.

5. Using AWS environments to check the service health and exposure to components EC2, SQS, S3, and RDS.

6. Using Docker or Kubernetes for development and deployment of new and enhanced code changes.

7. Using Ready API/SoapUI for functional and performance testing and interoperability of webservices.

* Position permits telecommuting: applicant may reside anywhere in U.S. and reports to Pleasanton, CA office.

Salary:                 $118,789 - $196,880 per year
