The Tangerine Data & Analytics team is seeking a Senior Manager, Sales Analytics & Modelling to support various business lines, including Product, digital and innovation teams, in building exceptional customer experience and in growing their business portfolios through data and analytics-driven insights.
 

You will collaborate and partner with various teams and stream leads to translate business objectives and problems into technical requirements that can be addressed through data and analytics. This involves proactively meeting with stakeholders to understand and document business requirements, agree on approach and methodology, ensure a roadmap is in place including business application of the analytics solution.
 

You will contribute to the overall success of Tangerine by ensuring individual goals are executed and successfully delivered in support of the overall business targets and objectives.  You will also ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
 

  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions

  • Act as a trusted advisor and partner, providing strategic direction and oversight for the development, prioritization, and implementation of advanced analytics models and use cases across each respective business lines

  • Work with the business to identify new kinds, types and sources of data and applications for analytics to address critical gaps in compliance capabilities and define processes for the effective, integrated introduction of new data

  • Build and present analytics solutions, including advanced modelling, to support business strategies on client acquisition, cross-sell, campaign enhancements and operations

  • Provide analytics to support new initiatives including Open Banking, payments, new savings products and marketing strategies

  • Provide analytics to support revenue-focused initiatives, particularly for priority products

  • Develop multi-touch analysis and attribution models to help optimize marketing spend

  • Develop channel optimization models and analyze drivers of call center volumes through application of text analytics

  • Create an environment in which your individual performance, including proper data management, supports business and operational efficiencies in accordance with Scotiabank’s values

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
 

  • Post-secondary education focused in Statistics, Mathematics or Economics; Masters or advanced degrees preferred

  • Proven expertise in analytics, data management, dataset preparation and performance measurement

  • Exceptional business planning, strategy development and execution skills

  • Strong relationship management skills with the ability to have seamless collaboration across multiple stakeholders

  • Advanced skills in analytics execution (e.g. Python, R, Spark)

  • Advanced statistical skills including working knowledge of text analytics (NLP), structural equation modeling, factor analysis, unsupervised/supervised learning

  • Exceptional written and communication skills, including the ability to explain data and findings to a non-technical and executive audience

  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple research projects simultaneously

  • Strong attention to detail, problem solving and critical thinking skills

  • Experience in being a resilient team leader who inspires a results-oriented culture

  • Flexible to adapt to a dynamic environment and can make quick and sound decisions under pressure

  • Comfortability working in a hybrid work environment (weekly in-office expectations)
