A Day in the LifeJoin the Medtronic Business Transformation Team and lead the charge in ensuring the success of our data and analytics engagements. This business-facing role requires strong collaboration with diverse internal and external stakeholders to drive customer success across the entire engagement lifecycle—from opportunity identification and solution design to solution adoption and post-delivery support. You will:

• Apply your program management expertise to oversee complex, multi-product implementations involving Data, AI, and software development
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor
• Leverage consulting skills to identify process improvements and drive organizational change
• Enable sales teams with effective tools and resources
• Conduct post-delivery follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction and value realization

Reporting to the Senior Director, Transformation Office, you will be instrumental in Medtronic Diabetes' transformation, contributing directly to organic growth, improved profit margins, and enhanced patient care worldwide. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape the future of Medtronic through innovative Data and AI solutions.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Lead the strategic development and management of the data and AI offering portfolio across business lines, driving alignment and maximizing business impact

  • Establish a standardized intake process in collaboration with corporate and enabling functions (IT, EIM, GFC, HR, Legal, Procurement), improving efficiency and cross-functional collaboration

  • Define and implement enterprise-wide data and analytics processes and integration touchpoints, ensuring consistency and interoperability across the organization

  • Develop and own the Technical Career Path (TCP) for the Transformation analytics organization, fostering talent development and growth

  • Lead the development and execution of the talent strategy, including campus recruitment, to build a high-performing analytics team

  • Serve as a trusted business partner, providing strategic guidance to shape business cases, identify value-generating opportunities, and manage data, analytics, and AI portfolio risk

  • Ensure seamless transitions from opportunity identification and selection to execution, adoption, and post-delivery support by collaborating closely with delivery and execution teams

  • Conduct build/buy analyses to determine the most cost-effective solutions for Medtronic and its customers, prioritizing scalable, reusable solutions and IP development

  • Recommend and implement organizational structure and process improvements to optimize service delivery and maximize the impact of new offerings and enhancements

  • Provide executive-level communication and program oversight, serving as the primary point of coordination and escalation for program-related projects and workstreams

  • Establish a continuous feedback loop with stakeholders to identify and implement ongoing improvements to the analytic engagement function

  • Lead engagement kick-off workshops and provided on-site leadership to ensure successful project launches

  • Develop, maintain, and report on a maturity model and key metrics to provide senior leadership with clear visibility into the progress and impact of analytics initiatives

Must Have: Minimum Requirements: To be considered for this role, please ensure the minimum requirements are evident on your resume:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 10+ years of experience in customer-facing professional services, consulting, or product management

  • OR an advanced degree with 7+ years of experience

Nice to Have (Preferred Qualifications):

  • 5+ years developing, implementing, or supporting enterprise level data and analytic and AI solutions, platforms and services

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in a STEM or Business program

  • Experience in the healthcare or medical device industry

  • Leveraged data science, analytics, and data manipulation expertise to drive measurable improvements

  • Developed and implemented data and analytics solutions that directly addressed critical customer challenges, resulting in business impact

  • Cultivated strong stakeholder relationships across a multi-functional organization and effectively influenced key decisions to achieve strategic objectives

  • Led cross-functional teams in ambiguous and dynamic environments to deliver impactful business outcomes

  • Effectively translated complex technical concepts into clear and concise communications for diverse audiences, including technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring shared understanding and effective decision-making

  • Transformed business operations by applying Data, AI, and Analytics to design and develop digital products and services

  • Communicated effectively through various channels (verbal, written, presentations, storytelling) to influence stakeholders and drive alignment on key initiatives

  • Facilitated engaging and productive meetings and workshops with groups of 20+ participants, driving consensus and achieving desired outcomes

  • Successfully negotiated complex agreements with key stakeholders

  • Consistently made timely, well-informed decisions based on sound judgment and data analysis, even under pressure

  • Successfully managed independent projects and thrived in ambiguous environments, demonstrating strong self-direction and problem-solving skills

  • Effectively managed multiple competing priorities and consistently delivered high-quality work under tight deadlines

  • Adapted quickly and effectively to changing work environments, priorities, and organizational needs, demonstrating flexibility and resilience

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$168,000.00 - $252,000.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

This position is eligible for an annual long-term incentive plan.

The provided base salary range is used nationally in the United States (except in Puerto Rico and certain CA locations). The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc. 

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

 

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match, Short-term disability, Paid time off, Paid holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Employee Assistance Program, Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums), and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).

 

Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns.  Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
