We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal, Technical Data Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and management of our data architecture with a strong focus on analytics, business intelligence, and technical ownership. This role requires a deep understanding of data modeling, database design, and data integration techniques, as well as the ability to provide strategic direction and leadership in the realm of data analytics.

RESPONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned.

  • Lead the design and implementation of robust data architecture solutions to support business objectives.
  • Oversee the management and optimization of data systems, ensuring high performance and reliability.
  • Develop and enforce data modeling standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from various sources, ensuring data consistency and accuracy.
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership in data analytics, driving initiatives to enhance business intelligence capabilities.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Mentor and guide junior data architects and other team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data architecture and analytics, recommending and implementing innovative solutions.
  • Design and manage cloud data warehousing solutions, ensuring scalability and performance.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years’ experience in data architecture, data modeling, and database design.
  • 4+ years hands-on experience with dbt, Fivetran, and Snowflake.
  • Proficiency in data integration techniques and tools.
  • Proven ability to provide strategic direction and leadership in data analytics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with cloud-based data solutions, including cloud data warehousing.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of data architecture principles, data modeling, and database design.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex data challenges.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership abilities to guide and mentor team members and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Innovation: Ability to stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data architecture and analytics and implement innovative solutions.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills to oversee the implementation and optimization of data systems.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Cloud Expertise: Proficiency in cloud-based data solutions, particularly with dbt, Fivetran, and Snowflake.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of data security and compliance regulations.
