Position Overview

Far Ridgeline Engagements LLC (a QinetiQ US Company) is seeking an experienced Computer Scientist to perform software analysis for a US Department of Defense operations support project delivering solutions to a diverse range of Client and Client-Customer mission requirements in Reston, VA.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple technical tasks in software analysis for implementation and integration projects.
• Analyze customer needs and and install software systems to meet those needs.
• Recommend software upgrades to existing systems and/or present newly available options which may better meet the customer’s needs.
• Develop repeatable processes.
• Clearly communicate through verbal and written means with team members and customer.
• Expand existing software to meet changing needs.
• Identify, research, and present new solutions to old problems as technology and opportunity arise.
• Create fault-tolerant programming and a thorough QC process.
• Write tests for both existing and newly created code to ensure compatibility and stability.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Software Engineering.
• 8 years' experience in Software Analysis, Development, or programming in full stack development (Golang, Python, C++, JavaScript, and other languages.
• Ablity to code microservices and API to connect front- and back-end services.
• In-depth understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and CMS.
• SQL and Postgre knowledge.
• Experience with Windos and Linux servers hosted on VMWare ESCi hypervisor and cloud infrastructures.
• Familiar with GITHUB and GITLAB.
• Basic knowledge of computer networking.
• Experience in data analysis (modeling, visuation, processing) and high-performance computing.
• TS/SCI clearance with CI poly (or ability to obtain poly) prior to start date #qinetiqclearedjob.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current TS/SCI Clearance with current CI poly.
• Specialization in firmware and graphical user design.
