Major Duties :1. Respond to ad-hoc information requests, analyze, gather and research information and develop reports in response to management and/or regulatory requests.
2. Provide operational support that enriches and ensures high caliber data to downstream NT platforms .
3. Lead initiatives related to improving data quality in the core NT platforms. Work closely with portfolio management, risk and compliance and technology partners to gather and prepare data related business requirements used to implement improvements / solutions.
4. Provide project support and planning: develops test plans and user acceptance testing criteria.
5. Evaluates and makes recommendations on techniques, practices or technologies that would enhance data related business needs.
6. Communicate with internal business areas, outside vendors and consultants regarding automation needs.
7. Keep abreast of new and existing bank products / services and market trends in order to meet data related business unit and client needs.
Knowledge :Knowledge of business functions and processes usually obtained through related work experience in the following areas: financial operations, portfolio and project management. General knowledge and understanding of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the technology field. Creative thinker with excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills. Should possess a relevant degree. Goal oriented team player willing to work with a global group of professionals across Northern Trust as a whole.
Experience :1 - 5 years relevant experience in the financial management industry and/or financial project management role.
